Hi there!

I am Jenny Jackson

(and Sylvia's daughter)

With a background in psychology, counselling, and adult education, I’ve spent years developing learning materials and printable activities. My passion for creating resources that engage and connect people took on deeper meaning after supporting my late mother, Sylvia, through her journey with Alzheimer’s.

Long before I formally studied neuropsychology, I saw firsthand how dementia affects the brain in unexpected ways. Even as Mum’s short-term memory faded, she could still read and play cards—skills rooted in procedural memory that remained beautifully intact. Later, learning about how dementia selectively affects memory helped me make sense of those moments and inspired me to learn more.

The Montessori approach to dementia care, as taught by Tom and Karen Brenner, profoundly shaped my understanding. Their emphasis on strengths, meaningful engagement, and putting something in a person’s hands just makes sense to me—it’s practical, respectful, and deeply human. And I saw it work first-hand with my mother.

These print-and-use games and activities are created with that spirit in mind. Having tested my understanding with a little Etsy shop, I'm confident that these activities really do create connection and joy. Whether you're a caregiver, family member, or activity coordinator, I hope they help you spark joy, connection, and moments of presence with the people you support.
